Mitch James is the CEO and Managing Director of POA, bringing over two decades of extensive experience in the outdoor advertising industry.
Since joining the company in 2001, Mitch has honed his expertise across various facets of the business, from billboard construction and maintenance to sales. In 2012, he assumed the role of CEO, where he has been instrumental in shaping POA’s strategic direction and driving its long-term growth.
Mitch has been the driving force behind guiding POA into the digital era, spearheading the company’s transformation and embracing cutting-edge technology to enhance its offerings. His exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence extend across all areas of the business, including administration, sales, client relations, advertising production, and billboard presentation. Under his leadership, POA has flourished, consistently achieving remarkable results and solidifying its position as an industry leader.
Terry leads our Installation, Maintenance and Construction Group and takes enormous pride in the team’s workmanship.
Terry knows how important the build and presentation quality of our billboards is to our future success. Our signs represent us, and their quality reflects the high standards we set ourselves in every aspect of our business.
Jane was appointed in May 2022 and has moved through the business from Business Development Representative into Sales Manager and now heads up Sales Operations for the business.
Her previous employers included Lion as State Sales Manager & BSkyB in the UK. Jane has extensive experience working across fast growing and innovative organisations within UK/European and Australian markets across multiple industries including financial services, media, telecommunications and food and beverage.
Declan was appointed COO in February 2024 after 9 years as General Manager of Football Qld and 23 years in finance with Bank of Queensland.
Declan was awarded with multiple sales awards at BOQ including Branch of the Year, and the CEO’s award for Customer Service. Declan has a business consulting background inclusive of politics. Declan completes various volunteer work as the Chair of Football QLD North and Solar Relief, winning the Energy Globe award for his work in Fiji after Cyclone Winston. He is results driven with a focus on systems, people & performance.
Andrew Lees is an accomplished professional with over 18 years of experience in the property, construction, and out-of-home (OOH) advertising industries.
Currently serving as the Commercial Manager for POA Media, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge in developing and executing new sites within the dynamic world of Outdoor Advertising. His expertise in this field allows him to effectively navigate the complexities of contracts, client relationship management, and business development, while driving growth and innovation in the out-of-home sector.
Beyond his work at POA, Andrew is deeply passionate about music. As a freelance opera singer, music teacher, and chamber musician, he has spent years exploring the transformative power of music. His artistic pursuits continue to influence his professional work, adding a creative and empathetic approach to his leadership and decision-making.
